Just Married! Lopez Makes It Official
|
| |
The long national nightmare is over.
Jennifer Lopez is finally confirming that she and Marc Anthony did, indeed, wed last June at her Beverly Hills home.
"Yes, we're married," Lopez tells People magazine. "I mean, come on, everyone knows. It's not a secret." Meanwhile, Lopez says she had swollen glands and a sore throat when the legally bound couple performed a roundly criticized duet at the Feb. 13 Grammy Awards show.
The judges also would have accepted as an excuse:
• Acid reflux disease.
• It was the band's fault.
• The whole half-time show was bad.
But going with the sore-throat thing, Lopez (Don't Call Me J.Lo) says the ailment caused her to cancel a London trip to promote the British release of her film Shall We Dance.
Though the trip cancellation prompted speculation of pregnancy, Jenny says she's "not on a timetable" to have a baby, though she hopes to become a mother someday.
Coincidentally, the dénouement of the couple's coy-yet-cruel game of "guess our marital status" ended just days before Tuesday's release of Lopez's newest CD, Rebirth.
