October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so plenty of celebrities and Forbes 400 companies are hosting benefits to raise funds, as well as awareness.

On Oct. 6, two of the former stars of NBC's Friends, actresses Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox Arquette, worked the microphone at the Ford "Tied to the Cause" luncheon in Los Angeles, benefiting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. They were joined by actress Rosanna Arquette and singer Patti LaBelle, who helped auction off a 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid (see: "Forbes First Drive: The First American Hybrid"), the first-ever hybrid sport-utility vehicle.

Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez was honored at the First Annual Noche de Ninos benefit on Oct. 2, which recognized her work for the Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. She was presented with an award by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (nyse: MGM - news - people ) Chairman and CEO Alex Yemenidjian, and was joined by designer Tommy Hilfiger and actress Daisy Fuentes.

On Sept. 29, filmmakers Jonathan Demme, Robert De Niro and Paramount Pictures President Sherry Lansing were honored at the 5th Annual Directors Guild of America Honors, held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. Jude Law and billionaire Oprah Winfrey were on hand as well.
