To Croon In Mumbai |
Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez will
perform for the first time in India
when she performs at a concert in
Mumbai on April 23, to promote her
latest album.
The Latin beauty is currently
touring the world to promote her
album Rebirth besides doing other
projects, including charity work.
For the first time, she has added
India and the Middle East to her
tour itinerary.
Sheeraz Hasan, the founder of the
www.hollywood.tv portal, confirmed
Lopez's trip to India after speaking
to the star's management.
"She is definitely performing in
Mumbai this time. Like I had always
said, Hollywood is looking up to
India and Bollywood in a very big
way," Hasan said.
Though Lopez's previous planned
visits to India never materialised,
she had promised her fans she would
make it up. Her website, too, marks
April 23 as the date for her live
gig in Mumbai.
She may also travel to other parts
of India during her visit.

Latin
pop beauty Jennifer Lopez is so
desperate to start a family with
husband Marc Anthony she's put
herself on a strict spinach diet in
a bid to become pregnant.
On her doctor's recommendations, the
Love Don't Cost A Thing hitmaker is
eating the leafy vegetable three
times a day to boost her intake of
folic acid and increase her chances
of conception.
She says: "Since my doctor
recommended it I've been on spinach
omelettes for breakfast, spinach
salad for lunch and sauteed spinach
with every dinner.
"I guess if the spinach doesn't help
me conceive I'll still end up with
Popeye-sized muscles."

And Eva Longoria To Play Sisters? |
Latin
superstars Jennifer Lopez and Eva
Longoria are in talks to star in a
new film about Hollywood sisters
with a bitter rivalry.
The as-yet-untitled comedy will be
written by Lopez and could start
filming in September.
The film would follow "two sisters,
both Hollywood stars, who fall out
and dish the dirt on each other to
the press," according to
Moviehole.net.

Offered Role Of Sue Ellen In "Dallas" Movie |
Jennifer
Lopez has reportedly been offered
the role of Sue Ellen in the
"Dallas" movie. Variety says Lopez
hasn't signed a deal yet, but it's
likely.
John Travolta has been offered the
starring role of J.R., Luke Wilson
is in talks to play Bobby and
Shirley MacLaine could play Miss
Ellie.
Shooting on the film couldn't start
until Travolta makes his next movie,
the big screen version of the
Broadway musical "Hairspray."

Variety
says director Robert Luketic is
rounding up his cast for Fox's
Dallas, the updated take on the
classic '80s series.
Luketic has offered his
Monster-in-Law star Jennifer Lopez
the part of Sue Ellen Ewing, Luke
Wilson is negotiating to play Bobby
Ewing, John Travolta has an offer to
star as J.R. Ewing and Shirley
MacLaine is down for the part of
Miss Ellie Ewing.
While no deals are yet in place for
these actors - Wilson is in
negotiations - most of the pacts are
likely to happen. And if that
package does come to fruition,
production is likely to commence in
October after Travolta has finished
up a starring role in New Line
Cinema's big screen version of
Broadway hit Hairspray.
Robert Harling and Sacha Gervasi
wrote drafts of the script.

WUTHERING HEIGHTS star MERLE OBERON
has sent celebrity psychic KENNY
KINGSTON a message for JENNIFER
LOPEZ from beyond the grave - 'Play
me and win an Oscar'. The Hollywood
medium claims he was contacted by
Oberon while he was watching the
Academy Awards telecast on Sunday
(05MAR06) and she insisted he put
the word around Tinseltown that
Lopez should play her in a biopic.
Kingston says, "Merle Oberon was
stunned by Jennifer at the Oscars -
Jennifer was wearing an identical
gown to the one she wore to the
Academy Awards when she was
nominated for Best Actress back in
1935. Isn't that ironic? "Merle is a
big fan and she thinks Jennifer has
got the perfect exotic look to play
her in a biopic. She's convinced the
role will earn Jennifer her first
Oscar." Oberon was born and grew up
in India. She died, aged 68, of a
massive stroke in 1979. She was
known as QUEENIE THOMPSON until 1939
when her then-husband, ALEXANDER
KORDA persuaded her to change her
name. The actress overcame a car
crash in London in 1937, which left
her with severe facial scars.

performance in upcoming movie EL
CANTANTE, according to her husband
and co-star MARC ANTHONY. Anthony
insists J.Lo's acting in the film is
so moving, that people won't
recognise her despite the heavy
make-up she's wearing. He says, "It
will be the most different Jennifer
you will ever see. "It is an amazing
piece of work and very easy to
forget that it's J.Lo."

Hollywood — elegant and classy in a
vintage gown from Rita Watnick at
Lily et Cie. It was ruched and
draped and get this, she owns it.
"It's old and it's mine," she said
about the gown. When she purchased
it, she thought, "Maybe, I'll go to
the Oscars." We're glad that she
did.
